Change Leads to Growth

It is always important to know when something has reached its end. Closing circles, shutting doors, finishing chapters, it doesn’t matter what we call it; what matters is to leave behind us in the past those moments in life that are over. Paulo Coelho.

One of hardest things to do is to change.

To those who are afraid of change, it is threatening because they think things might get worse. To those who hold out hope, it is encouraging because things might get better. To those more confident, change is inspiring because they know it can it open the doors on to new opportunities.

To change is to let go of old ideas that are no longer current, outdated methodologies and the old stories we have been told by parents, friends, work associates and society at large. As comfortable and familiar as they are, they are other people’s stories, based on their views and experiences. Not yours. They have to go if you are serious about changing.

As challenging as it is, if you are caught up in the weeds, unable to find the answers you are seeking,  know that you can’t move on until you let go of the familiar.

As soon as you do, ideas will begin to flow again.

The key to growth lies in your willingness to change.
