Overcome Resistance

The ability to know that your perceptions are accurate has to happen without others’ validation. Intuition is not the result of diet, rituals or wind chimes. It’s the natural consequence of having self-esteem, the greatest power you can have. With self-esteem, your life can broaden into an adventure because you can know in your gut that you can handle the unknown. And you can handle helping others without fear, which is true liberation. Sometimes in our lives, things aren’t happening because we are actually doing all we can to prevent them from happening. In a way, it’s a paradox.

All twisted up in our doubts and fears, subconsciously we have slammed on the breaks, preventing our goals or dreams from manifesting so as to prevent any more pain and getting hurt again.

Boxed in by our uncomfortable comfort zone, we forget, or don’t want to be reminded, that life is not simple. It’s complicated and hard. Those who can come to terms with that idea, who can tolerate and understand that there is no gain without pain can overcome their resistance and the friction it causes.

Ironically, friction can be a good thing. The act of fighting against the resistance against life’s various and many challenges makes you stronger, better and more powerful.

How you meet and deal and give meaning to the forces arranged against you will ultimately determine your outcome.

Overcoming your resistance, in large measure, has much to you with how you show up everyday: Knowing that if you are being honest, if you’ve got it right, and do the right things, the Universe will jump in to help and that victory is just up ahead.

Strange, perhaps. But that’s how life often works.
