How Tall Are You?
How often I found where I should be going only by setting out for someplace else. Buckmaster Fuller.
The most satisfying, life affirming times in our lives are those that occur when we are doing something in which we are totally occupied – mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually, doing what we love, working at something that engages our whole being, not just our wallet.
Is that where you are now? If not, why not?
Are you bored to death, tired of all the pretense and all the stuff? Vainly looking for “what’s next?”
Could it be time to think about taking another road?
Taking another road is not for the faint of heart. It takes courage, thoughtful planning and hard work. It has little to do with conventional techniques, the established dictates of society and rules of the market place.
What it has everything to with is your willingness to believe in and trust yourself and brave enough to stay committed to who you know who you really are.
It’s a changing, exciting world we’re living in today. The challenges are many but so are the opportunities for those who are continuously learning, open to change and willing to adapt.
That’s a tall order, I know, and not for everybody, but you’re not everybody.
In the words of T.S. Eliot, “If you aren’t in over your head, how tall do you know you are?”
